What Registering For My Spring Semester Taught Me About Planning and Failing To Plan?

Just yesterday my university published the full class schedule for the spring semester and the summer course list.

I am currently a senior and if all goes as predicted I would graduate by August 2019 or December 2019 if I find an internship this summer 2019 ( ps. if you search for an intern in business, marketing, entrepreneurship or writing I am in).

As most students do I started planning all the classes I would take in Spring, Summer and if needed December to get an idea of where I was.

By October 2018 I knew where I was going with my classes, based on the Spring Course List I selected the major classes I would take and hoped the left ones would be given in summer.

As I promptly checked the spring semester schedule for Spring and then the Course List for Summer Session my clear focused plan was scattered.

The classes offered in the summer didn’t match my initial plan, the schedule for spring was terrible and I had no idea what classes I would have to take or not.

I was sticking with my plan for spring classes and checking every campus the university had to see if there was a way to take those specific classes left for the summer in any campus.
