A Short Fable about the Future
Not too long ago, exactly 25 years ago a 13 years old boy named Edward was walking back home from school with his best friend Astra when suddenly the sun stopped shining.
Darkness invaded the city, there was no blue sky anymore, no light, no sun just shadows and dark covering the whole planet.
After 10 minutes that felt like an hour the sun started shining again, everything went back to normal, the sky was cloudy but you could see the blue, the sun was there and there was the moon too, while everything seemed normal it didn’t felt like that.
Edward and Astra looked at each other like if the world ended and they just came back to life, not knowing it was really ending.
Arriving home Edward’s dog Cheetos was barking, he felt it too the end of the world came but no one seemed prepared.
“Mom did you see that it was all dark?” Edward asked her mom
“Well Eddie we could not see anything because it was dark”, said his father with his strong sarcasm
“Stop it Carl”, said the mother to his husband, “I know Eddie nothing happened it was just for a few second don’t worry about it.”
